Have you noticed how hard has become to find a "full 10 finger typer" now a 
days?  I think that is something our education system haven't realize yet. I do remember 
my early days at high school, learning how to type on an old IBM typewriter. That help me 
a lot when i started in a computer, i knew how to type.  But now, the kids are starting 
with computers even before they know how to type or even pick up a pen.  That's why you 
find so many young people using the mouse (and they are really good at point an click) or 
keying really fast with only 2 fingers or being Flask Gordon with their thumbs (maybe 
because they use to the sega o Nintendo interface).  My point is, most of this kids are 
now a lot faster with the mouse than we would ever be with a keyboard (if you give them 
the right interface).
