We are using SSL for the web base 5250.  I still think that it is a bit risk 
because once figure out the password, you got command line to do anything.  As 
compare that to a web app, I don't think one can't really get access to command 
line and type any command as wish.  ==> I just don't think more secure is a 
good reason for this Green-Screen vs. Browser topic.

Which is why you should use SSL on every connection, even within your own 
organization.  SSL doesn't prevent sniffing, but it makes it so that the 
intercepted traffic is encrypted.
