Many years ago, someone on this list posted a tip regarding this. It involves creating a message file, where you will store the text that you want displayed, then changing the QDSIGNON file to output the messages. Every time the screen displays, the current text in the message files will be displayed. Text can be changed without having to regen the signon screen. hth, Eric DeLong Sally Beauty Company MIS-Project Manager (BSG) 940-297-2863 or ext. 1863 -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of ganeshkumar.murugesan@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2005 10:54 PM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Dynamically change the output text on Sign-on screen I need to display the text "Application Ver1.0" on initial sign-on screen. I changed the QDSIGNON screen and compiled it. Then I had to end the subsystem and start it again for the change to take place. From now on I should be able to change the text dynamically (based on some condition) without the need to restart the subsystem. Any idea/help will be useful.
