With all due respect, this is how it should be. If you want to run your own mail server, you should get the rdns configured properly for it.


I don't want anything connecting to my mail server that has cpe, cust, user, or res as part of the rdns (or has no rdns).

The other choice is spf which isn't yet widely implemented and can pose challenges for large, regional companies with mobile users.
