and to further elaborate on the note someone posted about redirected
restores in DB2... the save/restore is Database and tablespace oriented.
On the iSeries, the save/restore is object oriented. The redierected
restore in DB2 is meant to restore to a system where a tablespace device
or container has been damaged or is otherwise unusable.

In other words, the redirected restore of DB2 is much more equivalent to
a SAVLIB *NONSYS operation on the iSeries.
