In my experience 56k for voip is not enough close to enough. If you toss in voice mail on top of the system you are adding even more overhead.

I agree about the 56K being too tight. We were limited to one conversation at a time between branches, and the 28k was dedicated. It got real slow toward the end, but the one permitted conversation was 'acceptable".

These were 5250 sessions only over the other 28k, by the way, and it got way too slow for those branches.
