I'm looking into the benefits of consolidating our Windows server environment (currently about 125 servers) into an iSeries / xSeries configuration. Before anything like this would even be considered my manager would need to understand what the return on investment would be over time. Even though I see lots of wonderful technical reasons for moving in this direction I would need to prove that it also could save us money over time too. Has anyone out there prepared an ROI analysis on this subject that they might be willing to share? Also, has anyone actually planned and implemented a server consolidation using IBM iSeries and xSeries? If so I'd love to get some information from you on how you convinced your company that this was a good idea.... Kenneth **************************************** Kenneth E.
