The last release of OV 400 was V4R2. IBM announced that it would no longer work at V4R5, and the whole world went up in arms. IBM extended the execution until V5R1, and many customers refused to upgrade. Consequently, IBM allowed the loading of the product (unsupported) at V5R2. Please refresh me, how did OV or the assistance level limit a user profile object to 8 characters? I don't use ASTLVL(*BASIC) on my system and it hadn't occurred to me that anhyone esle might do so. I will recommend that they change their system. I wonder if IBM was still marketing OV when V5R1 was released? Anyway, problem solved now so many thanks. Rob Vernon Hamberg wrote: > Huh!
