Hi Kurt -

We have been storing the longer UPC/GTINs for a few months now, and just this week we got in new printers and I am converting the printing functions.

Here is what I am using:

     A 01 BAR1A 7 0 4 17BARCODE(EAN8 5 *HRI)
     A 02 BAR1B 11 0 4 17BARCODE(UPCA 5 *HRI)
     A 03 BAR1C 12 0 4 17BARCODE(EAN13 5 *HRI)
     A 04 BAR1D 13 0 4 17BARCODE(INTERL2OF5 4 *HRI)

Note that each different barcode length has a different barcode type. The 8-digit GTINs should not be printed using the same barcode type as the 12-digit UPCs, though we have been doing that.

We are going to go live with this either yet this week or earlier next week. We are a distributor so we are not [usually] labeling the actual products so most of our customers don't get our barcodes. It will be interesting to see if there are any problems from the ones that do, with changing the 8-digit GTINs to the correct barcode type.

Note that for all of the types, the printer produces the check digit so the DDS field is one digit shorter and you don't send the last digit.
