Has anyone conformed to this new standard with printing? I'm not sure
how to do it.

The idea bechind the Sunrise initiative was merely that people be capable of scanning and storing both larger and smaller barcodes. You had to go through and increase the size of your UPC code fields in the databases to at least 14 digits.

Scanning software has to be capable of scanning a barcode of any length from 8-14 digits, and then right-adjusting/zero filling the data before putting it into the 14 digit database field.

As far as I know, there has been no initiative for anyone to change the way they print their barcodes. The whole idea was that ANY method of printing will work with any compliant scanner.

... but the answer there is to conform to scan the new length, but not
to conform to printing it as such. We need to reproduce the UPC to put
it on the package when we send it out, so we do need to print a 13- or
14-digit UPC.

You shouldn't need to change the way you're printing your UPCs at this time. IF you're currently printing 13-digit EAN barcodes, go ahead and keep using them, just drop one of the leading zeroes to make your 14-digit barcode a 13-digit barcode.

As far as I know, that hasn't changed.
