James, I agree with you. This line is great - but it ain't flawless. What normally happens is this argument quickly starts into a series of redefinitions. What is an OS problem? If it doesn't shut down but stops several critical tasks (that only an IPL will clear) does that count? And that rot. Hmm. In my first year (might have even been my first month) with Touchtone, I managed to crash the D02 (which, at the time, was used for both production and MI development) by submitting a recompilation of an enormous MI program while the system was already busy, and while I still had a lot of 1800-page compilation listings of that same program in my *OUTQ. Hasn't happened since, though. -- JHHL -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
