James, I agree with you.  This line is great - but it ain't flawless. What 
normally happens is this argument quickly starts into a series of 
redefinitions.  What is an OS problem?  If it doesn't shut down but stops 
several critical tasks (that only an IPL will clear) does that count?  And 
that rot.

Hmm. In my first year (might have even been my first month) with
Touchtone, I managed to crash the D02 (which, at the time, was used for
both production and MI development) by submitting a recompilation of an
enormous MI program while the system was already busy, and while I still
had a lot of 1800-page compilation listings of that same program in my
*OUTQ.

Hasn't happened since, though.
