While I enjoy the friday version of music on hold with IBM (40+ minutes so far), I thought I'd bounce this one. Have a bus on our 570 that was not allocated to any partition. Used the HMC to 'Add Required' instead of 'Add desired' to the partition profile. When will it be available to the partition? Next IPL only? Will removing it from the profile and adding it as 'Add desired' make it immediate? We do have an IPL scheduled for tomorrow. Just added a 2gb ixs card to the bus and a lan card for the ixs. IBM guy did that right before lunch. Just happened to be here doing PC maintenance.
