The guys will probably not be doing an Java coding, but I will need the RPG and COBOL compilers for the project. Are the compilers part of base OS/400? Also, will I need the Comms utilities? I think this is going to be one of those things that looks good on the surface (the box itself is relatively inexpensive), but the licences and extra software from IBM (WDS, SQL, etc) will probably make the cost prohibative. If I had my way, I'd be dumping the Synon stuff real fast and avoid the licence altogether, but that's the way it goes. Thanks -Ed
