An IBM business partner recommended a 3000VA APC Smart-UPS to replace the UPS serving our migration tower but when I called a vendor for a quote, the vendor said he wouldn't recommend a Smart-UPS as they are "line interactive" units. Vendor is suggesting an on-line type UPS which costs more but delivers cleaner power. Do any of you use line interactive UPS's? Isn't it better to spend a little more for an on-line unit that delivers cleaner power? Bryan Burns System Operator Echo, Inc. Lake Zurich, Illinois 847-540-8400 x493
