Rich, While that is true, it would have taken more time to completely redo the DDS for the printer file. I found IBM's green screen Overlay Utility easy enough to use and when you told it you wanted a shaded rectangle 1/8" high starting at (x,y) that was exactly what you got on the printout. Basically, I just wanted to warn the OP that using a Windows app. and the AFP driver may not provide a 100% WYSIWYG environment. From this list, it's possible that Word itself may have been part of my trouble; others have had better luck with using Open Office for overlay creation. However, it should be noted that I did try a at least couple of other Windows apps, at least one was a non-Microsoft app. Charles > -----Original Message----- > From: Rich Duzenbury [mailto:rduz-midrange@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Tuesday, September 07, 2004 1:19 PM > To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion > Subject: RE: Outq to PDF to Email > > > > Using Word and the IBM > > AFP printer driver to create the overlay was easy, but I > could get the > > shaded lines to be quite the right size or position (this > was at 8 LPI).
