Granted, I don't use it for SNDPTFORD anymore; the internet method is much faster. Well, recently I did have an IBM airhead suggest that if a ptf wasn't available via the internet maybe it was available via SNDPTFORD. Pi$$ed away a half of a day trying to get SNDPTFORD working until finally I talked to someone who could at least fog a mirror and realize they needed to release the ptf. I do use it for alerting IBM when hardware goes kablooie. And having had the IBM guy on site three times in the last two weeks it does come in handy. Then again, those system processor cards with their pesky random IPL's don't give the system time to call IBM, before, or afterwards. I used to like those calls about pieces of hardware being down, that I didn't even know about. That's good service.
