No, V5R2 still supports both types and I had to run the conversion to get
type 2. Perhaps with a scratch install V5R2 would make everything type 2
right from square one.

Note: depending on the number/sizes of files/directories that you had, type
2 could consume more or less space. The doc tells you how to guesstimate. I
switched everything to type 2 just for the reliability improvements.
