email address, directories, etc.

I was wondering what people were doing with maintaining a valid email
address for use with their iSeries applications.  I need to be able to
synchronize iSeries ID's to an email address.  I hate the idea of
maintaining this manually but from where I sit I can't see any automated
way of handling this.  We currently use Lotus Notes and will of course
someday be doing some stuff with Active Directory and LDAP.  So, the
question may be short term and long term in nature.

I realize it is open ended but what are people doing currently to have this
integration and hopefully to automate as best possible.  And then long term
are there any implications with this process?
