I dunno, Dennis.  It may be time to call IBM, or BP, whichever is more
appropriate.  Serial Numbers tend to take on God-like status at IBM, and
(in my experience with a wrong system serial number) you can scream til
you're blue in the face, and still be told by IBM that nothing can be done
about fixing a serial number.  I've been told by others that sometimes you
need to shoot through the bureaucratic minefield and go right to the top
on this kind of problem.  Otherwise, you'll get a lot of "there's nothing
we can do about it" cr*p.
