I've got to agree with James here. Our Cisco kid uses sniffers all the time to verify comm from our iSeries. Comments? Any sniffer should be able to sniff any and all traffic on a given LAN. If that LAN uses a switch instead of a hub it might be less successful. If the sniffer is not on the same physical network as the iSeries you won't be able to sniff it. Perhaps the trial version is incomplete? There are plenty of sniffers out there. http://freshmeat.net should have several.
