As luck would have it, I'm currently working on an article for the Club
Tech iSeries Programming list over at iSeriesNetwork.com which explains
how to use the POI java classes to parse an Excel spreadsheet.

I was planning to publish this article on the list on Jan 8th.

As for retrieving it from a PC, you should be able to use either FTP or
/QNTC to do that... that part should be easy.
