Sorry, Booth, InfoCenter Team... Struck out. (Luckily it wasn't bottom of
the ninth...;-)

I had a problem last week, with field selection in a SFL (2 different header
lines followed by a variable number of detail lines for update).

Info Center gave me 8 hits on '"field selection" subfiles' and 16 hits on
'subfile "field selection"'. They just showed the basic DDS pages (and #16,
on Performance Tools?). It was MUCH quicker to just go to PDF Manuals (DDS
Reference, but main help was in App Display Pgm Guide which apparently is
not IN the InfoCenter). Like I said, I'm on 56K modem, which may not be
very common any more.

And I suppose it may be if you know the right keywords, you can find the
right answers.

| jt, I wrote my post because of exactly that reason. I
| remembered MRT (multi-requestor terminals, or something like that, from
| Sys/34 days) and I wanted to learn about them. An Infocenter search for
| multi requestor" gave me several relevant results in seconds.
| Frankly I was
| flabbergasted at how easily and well it worked. It is a huge
| improvement. To answer your comment of "But does it quickly
| answer specific questions ...??" --- yes, it most emphatically
| does. These guys at
| Infocenter deserve no-holds-barred kudos for their work however
| they did it.
