"One off" = just running it once.

I did the following:

md '/qdls/pmsnotes.clm'
edtf '/qdls/pmsnotes.clm/adam.txt'
and put a little text into that.
Then, from a drive mapped to the QDLS directory on my PC
C:\qtemp>copy i:\pmsnotes.clm\*.*
i:\pmsnotes.clm\ADAM.TXT
        1 file(s) copied.

I'd give that WRKOBJLCK mentioned by others a chance.
