If this is a one off, copy them to another IFS directory and try again.

Alternatively, if this is a one off, then try using FTP; you need to make sure you are in the system directory to use QDLS as well.

If it's not a one off then fix whatever puts them into QDLS. Rob is right get, rid of QDLS if this any kind of option at all.

I'm copying the files FROM the as/400 to a windows PC via network share.

I can't pick a different directory because the files I need to copy down off
the AS/400 are there. ;)
