Paul, I've been there at that release and I ended up installing some additional drives to complete an IPL. If you do a manual IPL, can you get to DST? Or does it fail before that point? If there is anything you can do, it would be within DST (either booting from the hard drives or from media). You might, for instance, remove disk protection (RAID or mirroring), IPL, delete stuff, then go back to DST and turn protection back on. I've never tried that, but if your other option is to reload from a system save, it might be worth a shot.
