Fact of the matter is that we have to deal with multiple languages day in day out (DDS, CL and RP IV just to name three). One editing environment common to whatever language I want/need to use is surely a plus. If I decide that I want/need to transition to C++ or Java (and that this perhaps will become my "one true language") then I can stay in the same tool environment that I am familiar with. Win win.
