Not only that, Jon, but with the advances in distributed debugging there is a very real possibility that you will be able to develop your code in the IDE, deploy it on your host, and then walk through each piece - from JSP to servlet to RPG to C, if that's how you wrote your application - all in source, with source-level debugging and breakpoints.
