In brief, NFS is "Network File System", which allows you to dynamically
mount local and/or remote file systems.  It's very similar in concept to a
"Mapped Drive" in the Windows world.  Using NFS, you would mount the remote
unix file system as a sub-directory in the IFS.  Once mounted, you can
manipulate this remote file-system as if it were local to your AS400.
