Subject: text-editor-like application from the 400

Hello,
My company wants a "text editor" interface to an existing green-screen
system "notes" file. Rather than write one from scratch we think there
must be tools or products out there to do this.

Requirements: Text editor like word wrapping and spell checking. This
could be a green-screen application or a client GUI. Ideally it would
maintain a DB2/400 table directly, one line of text = one row in the
table. It should be called when the user presses a function key in an
RPG program.

Alternatively, we will take suggestions on the tools to use to write
this application. Java Swing, DDS screens, VB Client program, HTML
applet ...

TIA,
Terry Perkins
