Rob:
Steve has hit this pretty much on the head. I believe there is a separate
module, System 47, for EDI, and it has all of the interface programs to
read/write to the JDE database. I have done a fair amount of work with this
and have had to make some mods to the interface programs. Overall, it
works fairly well and it pretty well documented.

Which translator do you plan to use. I can remember one problem using the
Premenos/Harbinger/Peregrine/Inovis translator is that the size of some of
the F47 interface files for Order entry are larger than what the user file
definition in Premenos could handle. I had to create some logical to strip
out some of the data.

Contact me off line if you need any specific questions answered.

HI I am trying to see what files would you normally map for EDI from JD
Edwards? Are there special repositories, or do you just go against the order
files, A/P, etc... This would be for a retail chain.

Thanks,

Rob
