To generally answer you question, the F47* files are the JDE EDI files.
They have files/programs to handle many different EDI documents.  What EDI
documents are you processing?  There is extensive documentation on the JDE
CD/ROM documentation, as well as the JDE Knowledge Garden (requires a
userid/password).
