The AS/400 has had a database very similar to DB since its inception,
inherited from the S/38.  DB2/400 is basically a new name for the native
database product that already existed, with the exception of some new
features to make it compatible with DB2 on other IBM platforms, like stored
procedures, triggers, etc.
