If the reason for this level of presentation is because the users are not
spreadsheet people than perhaps send them an HTML file instead that opens in
their browser?  

Add in a nice image, background, and borders and they get a printable report
that looks like a gazzillion bucks.  The benefits of HTML presentation are
many but my favorite is that you can put the file on a server and e-mail
them a shortcut for their desktop.  Then there's no complicated mailing list
maintenance process.

That's exactly why. We're downloading data right now, converting it and
e-mailing it manually. We want to be able to offer this to more of our
customers without having to add clerical staff.
