This is great timing, we had a need to make the exact changes below.
So if I set up a user to be in "/home/goodbar/", what prevents me from doing
a "cd /", "cd /qsys.lib/production.lib", "mget *"?
In other words, how can I restrict a user to just /home/goodbar?

Thanks,
Loyc

Subject: RE: ftp to an initial ifs directory

Rob:
Not too hard to do:
Use the CHGFTPA to use the following:

Initial name format . . . . . . *PATH *LIB, *SAME, *PATH
Initial directory . . . . . . . *HOMEDIR *CURLIB, *SAME, *HOMEDIR
Initial list format . . . . . . *UNIX *DFT, *SAME, *UNIX

The set up the home directory in the user profile of the user.

I have this working on a V4R5 machine.
