David uses MailMan to run the lists.  And SpamAssasin.

And while I wouldn't use IBM's SMTP server to run the lists (even if
you could), Stalkers product (CommunicatePro) also runs on the AS400
and would handle the volume just fine!

But, he would loose some functionality using CGP vs MailMan.  But who
knows, perhaps mailman is available under AIX?

I suspect the biggest issue is just the cost of the AS/400.
