Hi, I was looking for some advice regarding 400 security. (kinda!) Our extranet is thinking of accepting on line information, and writing it, via Java (java 400 toolkit) straight to the 400's db2 database. Now, the security issue we have is authenticating what we accept on the 400 side is something written from our own Java front end. 2. questions 1. Is encryption (perhaps through an encryption key on the file?) best through an algorithm, and should it be a 400 based encryption algorithm or is it better to have a call to a Java based algorithm? 2. Do such things exist on the 400, or should I follow up on a Java based forum? I'm sure I'm not the 1st person to ask this, and apologise if this would be best suited to another forum. Please advise. TIA. Brian Hughes. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Everything you'll ever need on one web page from News and Sport to Email and Music Charts http://uk.my.yahoo.com
