Whatever has been tried. I am looking for war stories.

        A lot more time ! ;-)

Did you mean DVD, or CD going through a PC or box with CD-R's or
CD-RW's
        emulating a tape drive ?

I have been asked to look into what it would take to do our backups
from
        the
AS/400 onto CD rather than tape. Does anyone have any experience
with
        this?

        Thanks,

        Albert York
