Jerry As a bit of a left field approach you might consider using a remote outqueue coupled with an LPR daemon on the receiving PC to "print" to the PC. When you set up the LPR Printer on the PC you can specify *FILE as the ouput device. I investigated this once and got as far proving that the spool files arrived as I generated them although I still had some work to do to get the file free of control codes and readable (I only spent a couple of hours on this aspect of the project) You will need the LPR utility for NT - I think its part of the unix for NT utilities. Theres also commercial software to do this, although I never got as far as trying this. Hope this helps
Is there an easy way to have an AS400 outq "print" to a file on a PC with no operator intervention required (ie: like a cpysplf with *FCFC) and, it is xmas, have NO control codes?
