That's one of the features PSC/400 takes advantage of. You can add as many hidden fields (say URLs for image GIFs) on the screen as you need, and they don't affect the 5250 version of the display. However, when the program runs in PSC/400 mode, the JSP interface can access those hidden fields to enhance the display. It's very powerful, and can allow you to do all kinds of powerful graphical enhancements that are entirely transparent to your 5250 clients.
