Not at all. I initiate batch files on a PC from various hosts (i.e. Mainfames, 
AS/400's, and even Wangs :) all the time, and simply
script the batch file on the PC side. Drop me a note offline and I'll pass you 
some samples of what I do - remember though I try to
keep the whole process very simple!! You can make it
far more complex if you wish.
