The shop I used to work for also used Infinium HR/Payroll and it was an
excellent product. Basically, no downtime with this system, and upgrades
appear to come on time and very easy to install and maintain. I would highly
recommend the product.

Al, ADP is a limiting solution and causes a great deal of duplicate work.

A good in-house payroll system solves a lot of business problems easily and
quickly. On top of that ADP isn't really all that cheap when you look at
the total cost of time & record keeping in a business environment where time
worked is charted for costing or other business purposes.

The idea that payroll is a difficult application to keep up is just a myth.
For example, one recent project I did was updating a payroll application for
larger fields. This is the first time the payroll application has been
changed since 1983. New reports have been added from time to time through
the last 18 years, but this is the first change.

My advice for any company with less than 1000 checks is to go to ADP.
