I would like my machine to power off at 23:00:00 on Saturdays and power back
on at 05:00:00 on Sundays. This is when no one is in the office. I would
like this occur every Saturday and Sunday of the year.

Scott,

Can you give an example of what you want to accomplish? If you wanted
this to occur on every Friday at 11:00 PM, that would be a simple matter
for the job scheduler. You could just write the code for your poweroff
routine and then put a call to that program in the job scheduler.

Do you want to have a routine day but a variable time? If that were the
case, you could write a routine within your poweroff program which would
retrieve the time from a file or data area depending on the job date,
then go into a wait state until that time arrived.

Subject: Scheduleing recurring power offs

How can I schedule a day I power my system off on a recurring date
without having to add the times for each date I want it to occur
manually.
