Can you give an example of what you want to accomplish?  If you wanted
this to occur on every Friday at 11:00 PM, that would be a simple matter
for the job scheduler.  You could just write the code for your poweroff
routine and then put a call to that program in the job scheduler.

Do you want to have a routine day but a variable time?  If that were the
case, you could write a routine within your poweroff program which would
retrieve the time from a file or data area depending on the job date,
then go into a wait state until that time arrived.
