You may be in PTF (or service pack) territory here.  I have never used
the PDT option that you refer to in your previous post.  I generally
select the option to have the AS/400 convert the data-stream and then
select the appropriate printer from the list.  This is helpful if the PC
is used for other purposes than being a print server; the PC
concentrates _very_ hard if it ends up doing the conversion.

If you check for client access service packs, you may get more accurate
printer selections.  I'm guessing that there is something a little bit
off about the model you chose.  Something in the data-stream is being
considered as a cancel rather than as a print instruction.

Try selecting the option to perform the conversion on the AS/400 and
then select the closest HP DeskJet from the dropdown list and see if
that works.
