The screen-print functionality (under File|Print Screen and File|Printer
Setup) is part of Client Access, and Windows. The AS/400 is not involved at
that point. For printing from the AS/400, it doesn't "know" your computer
has a printer attached, thus the need to create a "printer session" on the
PC.

I am able to go to an AS400 session and go to FILE/PRINTER SETUP, select my
HP printer and do a print screen directly to it. I should be able to use it
as an AS400 printer for any reports as well... correct? Why is placing on
HOLD this one-page report (a simple print screen I did)? I can create a
printer emulation session for the other two printers I have (HP 5Si and HP
4Si) and print with no problems. WOW! This is a good one!

I am really getting out of options here...
