We want to put a file on the Windows machine from the AS/400. The paging
system we use has a "message queue" directory, that if populated with a text
file in the correct format, is sent to our text pagers. We want to send
events from the AS/400 to the paging system. Client Access is not installed
on the paging system. Thank you for the suggestion, though.

maybe the net400.exe tool at
ftp://testcase.boulder.ibm.com/as400/fromibm/ApiSamples/ would work.

Net400.exe (replaces netdrive.exe)
Client Access Network Provider Tool. Based on
the Netdrive.exe program from the toolkit, this
version routes network drive and printer requests
directly to the client access network provider
(bypassing most coexistance problems with other
                        providers).
                        Command line format is
net400 assign drive: \\host\path [delay time]
                           net400 assign lpt_number \\host\printer [delay
time]
                           net400 release drive: [/f]
                           net400 release lpt_number [/f]
                           net400 status [/all]
                           net400 connect \\host

maybe worth a shot.
