Have you looked at the v5r1 version of infocenter? In the left hand menu,
following "System planning and installation"->"Upgrade and
migration"->"iSeris 940x RISC-to-RISC Road Map" may get you started.

Okkay, so this has me wondering.

I'm going to upgrade my 170 from 4.3 to 5.1. I've been looking around the
Information Center, and can't find where they document if I can upgrade
directly, and how to do so, or what I need to do if not. (Damn, but that's
one poorly-organized site.) Where's the information?

Also, assuming I need to order the latest cum PTF CD, how do I go about
doing that? Am I even eligible to do so with my software subscription? I
don't have the modem for my system, so I need some other way of generating
the order then SNDPTFORD (unless it can be convinced to send the order over
the Internet).

If I can't upgrade directly from 4.3 to 5.1, how do I get there? I've got
4.4 install media (but no key; can I get that with my subscription?), but no
4.5 install media (and can't order that any more from IBM).

What else am I missing?
