Go to V4R4 then V5R1 then V5R2.  You get a 70 day grace period on the key.

However, carefully read the Software installation manual for V4R4 and the
memo to users for V4R4.  Look for incompatibilities in software and
hardware, like this card or this program product is not supported under a
certain release.  Check with all of your software vendors and ask if their
program runs under the various releases.  Just because something is owned
by IBM do not assume that IBM cares.
