Is TM/38 supported by the DDS keyword HLPDOC? Isn't that what the
originator's issue was?

The TM/38 editor is very SEU like.
It absolutely allows data to be sucked into letters.

We use the prtdoc and mrgdoc for our daily form letter generation. These
documents also need editing as business changes. Will I be able to do
basic
editing, merging, and printing of OV docs under 5.1? How do I convert to
TM/38? Can I edit with TM/38? This could save us thousands on third
party
offerings.

The few instances of OV/400 that I changed to be V5R1 compliant, I
migrated
the text from OV/400 to TextManagement/38, which continues to be
supported.
QSYS38/DSPDOC works great, and you can exit a browsed document with enter.
