Hi Chris

I don't know if it's of use, but my DBG/400 package has a basic editor &
document system. I've migrated what was left of our S/38 and OV/400
letters to use our in-house version of that instead. Of course it depends
on how complicated your letters are - we didn't make use of conditional
text (not sure if EDTTXT supported that) so tweaking it to do mail merge
wasn't difficult. We've now been able to drop our use of the S/38
utilities (dfu, edttxt & qrydta) and save a bit more on licensing the
next time we upgrade.
